Are you available to help Test Australia’s New Weed Identification App (WeedScan v2)?
WeedScan is a national biosecurity tool developed by the Centre for Invasive Species Solutions (CISS) to help identify, record and map priority weed species across Australia.
The app combines AI-powered identification with practical weed management information and is available as both a website & mobile app.
We have recently doubled the number of weed species in the system & are now seeking volunteers to help test Version 2 before public release.
What’s involved?
• Website testing: ~1 hour
• Mobile app testing (Android or iOS): up to 2 hours
• Use your own weed photos or provided examples
Testing runs from 14 March to 22 April 2026.
We are particularly seeking Android users, but all volunteers are welcome.
