Thankyou so much for the dedicated WCS members & supporters who participated in the important community hand weeding session near the Possum Hollow Playground in Beverley Road Heidelberg on Sunday last.
Lots of people love our planting sessions however we need to maintain the plantings we do to ensure they flourish and don’t get out-grown by weed infestations.
This was one such example of a planting cluster done 12 months ago that was beginning to be infiltrated with weeds.
We would love to see as many people as possible to our next session on Sunday morning September 14th at the “Long Bed” in the Viewbank Native Garden area.

WCS president James Deane planning the next weeding session with Nick.
Both James and Nick have been doing some wonderful work in removing Kapok vine from around the Banyule Billabong and on the Windmill track with the help of several Secondary students from Viewbank Secondary College, as part of their Community service involvement for their Duke of Edinburgh Award program.
