Fantastic Outcome from our September WCS Working Bee

Thankyou to all the Wonderful People who joined us this morning for our WCS September working bee on the Banyule Native Gardens Entry Bed.

Once we looked closely the site had a great deal more weed presence than we first thought.

This is such a key site to our wonderful area, as it’s the 1st port of call to anyone entering on foot via Banyule road, and it’s looking so much better now.

It was great to see a lot of self seeding of species such as salt bush.

It was also great to see species such as Chocolate lily and Lomandra being protected under a supportive mat of Salt bush (Einadia)

As always a special thanks to Warwick McCallum, Senior Ranger from the Banyule City Council Bush Crew for his incredible support.

We also began the assembling of Nesting Boxes that Warwick and his team will install in our area in the future.
