Although it was hot and it was hard work – especially in waders – around 20 people joined us for Clean up Australia Day. We cleaned up 100s of plastic bottles and bags, tennis balls, a couple of plastic kids chairs and some unnamable things from around Grotty Pond, and then we spread out along the north western corner of the Banyule Swamp to do the same there.
Thank you to everyone who came along and gave their time – it was great to meet you all and the area looks so much better.
